St . John's Episcopal was the first church in the village of Medina. It's located not far from the Erie Canal harbor.
Organized in 1827, the building was erected in 1832.
It is listed in Ripley's Believe-it-or-not as the "Church in the middle of the street" as Church Street divides to go around the building.
It's beautiful stained glass windows are sometimes available for viewing by the public.
