Arnside is a medium sized village on the edge of the Kent Estuary at the head of Morecambe Bay. The promenade includes a selection of small shops and the village gets a surprising number of visitors to enjoy the view across the bay to the hills.

Arnside has quite a busy local community. It also gets quite a lot of visitors, especially sunny weekends and holidays.

It has a good range of services and shops. The promenade is a pleasant place to stroll and a great walk can be had around the coast from here. The famous cross-bay walk is often started from Arnside and large groups will often assemble ready to tackle the challenge.

Behind the village a limestone hill rises up, with a lot of woodland and good walks to great viewpoints.
