Paula Deen (Food Network Star) has another restaurant in downtown Savannah. Her brother Uncle Bubba was bitten by the restaurant bug and she was looking to open a second place specializing in seafood. And alas, Uncle Bubba's Oyster House was born. Nestled along the salt marshes about 6 miles outside downtown Savannah. They specialize in "Local" seafood, as Paula's husband, Michael, is a fishing boat captain and provides some of the items. The BBQ'd Oysters are to doe for. The portions are extra large and prices are reasonable. The only item I saw on the menu that was listed as Market Price was the Crab legs.
There were no cleanliness issues noted. As a side note, one of Paula's shows "Paula's Party" is filmed on location here.
NOTE: They are closed for 3:00pm to 5:00pm. The hours selection below did not allow me to separate the Lunch and Dinner hours.
