This water tower was erected around 1910 to supply water to the lovely village of Bucknell.

built in 1903/4 by Major Hunlocke to supply water to the manor house and some of the farms. The water from a nearby spring was pumped either by windmill or petrol-driven engine. Work has recently begun to develop the site as a nature reserve, providing facilities for visitors from the surrounding areas.
