"ON THIS SITE ORIGINALLY STOOD THE HEADQUARTERS OF GEORGE WASHINGTON,
SINCE REMOVED TO RIVERSIDE PARK. HE WAS ENTERTAINED AT DAVID LYNN'S
HOUSE (WHICH LATER OCCUPIED THIS SITE WHEN HE CAME HERE IN 1794 TO
REVIEW) THE TROOPS DURING THE WHISKEY REBELLION"
