St. Joseph Monestary is located in downtown St. Marys, Pennsylvania. St. Joseph was the first Benedictine women's community in the United States as it was founded in 1852. Sisters still serve the community today.
Visitors are welcome to attend mass and pray with the Nuns in their Monastery Chapel. Tours are available, prior arrangements are appreciated. Retreats and Evenings of Recollection are scheduled throughout the year.
