The station opened in 1891 under São Paulo Railway. It was run by the company from 1891-1957. Next to the station, which was in a rural area of Jundiai, the company L. Queiroz, a chemical products company (nowElekeiroz), was built. In the 1950s, the station was named Secundino Veiga. After that the station was renamed Varzea Paulista when in 1994 ownership passed to CPTM.
