A fine little library originally endowed by Andrew Carnegie. Designed by the father and son firm, the main façade is dominated by the square tower with its two side bays.A staircase rises through one of these bays to the upper floor.

The architectural detail is kept to a minimum on the remainder of the building with its simple rectilinear form.
This Carnegie Library was built in 1910 at a cost of £1000. Andrew Carnegie, a Scottish multi-millionaire, donated huge amounts of money for the building and stocking of libraries across the UK and Ireland. It was taken over by Dublin Co Council in 1976.
