A small rural church but it has a fine window and mural on the east end above the alter. The window shows the Crucifixion; the mural is by Marian Daumaret (1921), which is inspired by the magnificent view over the Kent estuary from the church.

3 miles west of Kendal, left off the Brigsteer Road down a narrow track adjacent to a popular view point of the south lakeland hills. Built in 1726 and substantially restored in 1858 the church is a simple rectangular building with Westmorland slate roof and a bell-cote on the western end.

The window has three main panels depicting the Crucifixion. The early morning sun highlights the great colours. Apart from the window and the mural, the rest of the church is quite plain as befits its rural location amidst great natural beauty.
