It is no challenge to waymark an orthodox church in Moscow, so I picked up this special one.
The St. Nicholas Church in Kotelniki is currently being used as Czech and Slovak "podvor'e": a sort of an embassy for Czech and Slovak orthodox church. Feasts of Czech saints are being observed here, the nastoyatel (superior elder) is being appointed by Prague bishop, and the church organizes pilgrimages to orthodox feasts in Czech Republic.
The closest metro station is Taganskaya, follow Goncharnaya street from there. You will pass the Church of Mother of God (Bulgarian podvor'e) and then walk down along a yellow wall.
When I visited the church, there was baptising going on, so they didn't let me inside. Normally, the church is open every day from 11 to 19.
