Jimmie Condon sponsored many youth teams in hockey, baseball, football, basketball, lacrosse, and bowling between 1919 and 1942. The Calgary Booster Club named him Sportsman of the Year in 1962. In 1980, the City of Calgary named a sports arena after Jimmie Condon in recognition of his great contributuion to amateur sports in Calgary.
