Big Bear Lake has a number of outdoor wood carvings you will see as you drive around the lake.

This happy bear stands in front of a firewood yard next to Big Bear Lake in California. He's probably glad he wasn't turned into mulch.

We bought some firewood here and enjoyed seeing this carving that was so large it had a saddle carved on its back. Please post your picture of this bear with you or your GPSr in the picture.
