This is one of a series of milestones set by Thomas Telford at mile intervals along the A5.

* This milestone survives on a de-trunked section of the A5 which is now no more than a footpath. Nearby is one of Telford's tollhouses (Lôn Isa), which is now a private house and the remains of one of Telford's original A5 weighbridges *
