This former High School was built in 1924. The contractor was O.P. Woodcock and the architect was Fred A. Henderson. The school was constructed from native coquina stone and served the community of Hastings into the 1970's. The school was renowned for it's football program. The former school is now being used as a center for the City Offices and part of the building has been converted to be used as a branch library for St Johns County.
