Dedicated Oct. 17, 1992 this humble statue honors Nascar Racing Legend Richard Petty a local who made it big in the world of Stock Car Racing. "The King" as he is widely known, of course won 200 Nascar races ( # 1 on all time list), and is the most recognized ambassador of the sport.
The statue itself is located beside the parking lot of Wachovia Bank 117 S. Main St. Randleman, NC 27317. Easily visible on the sidewalk, and easily accessable, with parking lots on both sides of the statue.
