The Lakeshore Branch of the Innisfil Public Library opened in Alcona on September 4, 2001. It is the largest of the branches with a collection of over 40 000 books, CDs, DVDs, magazines and audiobooks.
The Lakeshore Branch offers public Internet access on 12 computers as well as the Microsoft Office Suite. There are an additional 3 computers located in the children’s area for use by children 12 years or under.
The facility includes a Community Room where programs and special events are held, and a Training Room with 12 computers used for computer classes.
