The lower falls is located approximately 1/4 mile up the hollow from the Sheepskin Hollow sign on the railroad bed.

Sheepskin Hollow Nature Preserve is located in Columbiana County, OH, very near Ohioville, PA on the stateline. The preserve encompasses 457 acres and is administered by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.
Large beech, maple, oak and hemlock trees; narrow sandstone gorge with waterfalls; spectacular spring wildflowers.
Sheepskin Hollow Nature Preserve encompases an outstanding eastern hemlock ravine known as Sheepskin Hollow and mixed mesophytic woods adjacent to the North Fork of Little Beaver Creek State and National Scenic River.
Several impressive outcroppings of Pennsylvanian sandstone and shale occur in Sheepskin Hollow forming at least two scenic waterfalls.
Some of the more significant species of plants reported from the preserve include speckled wood-lily, pipsissewa, Bicknell's panicgrass, pink lady's slipper orchid and Canada fly-honeysuckle.

Located 3 miles south of Negley on State Route 170; proceed 1 1/2 miles east on Pancake-Clarkson Road to the railroad overpass. No parking area, sign or trail system are present. Park near the railroad overpass and walk along the railroad to access Sheepskin Hollow.
To get to the parking coordinates, until Pancake - Clarkson Road bridge opens up again, from the north take Rte 154 east into PA, take the first right (State Line Road) south to Pancake-Clarkson Road, and follow that past the Bridge Out signs to the parking. From the south, take Midland-Fredericktown Road east, go left on Wildwood, left again on Lisbon Rd, and follow Lisbon to Pancake Clarkson Rd.
