Salem Welsh Church is located at the intersection of Route 98 and Galen Hill Road in Freedom, New York. This tiny white church is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and it also surrounded by a small cemetery. Headstones within this grave site range from the mid-1800's to early 1900's.
Currently the church is not in use (except for one church service a year during Whitsunday) - but stands as a testament to the small town churches that existed in the 1800's. Tombstone inscriptions are provided in the text of the pictures included.
