DESCRIBED BY CALTRANS 2004 (PTD) THE STATION IS LOCATED IN SACRAMENTO COUNTY NEAR WATT, ABOUT 14.0 KM SOUTHEAST OF DOWNTOWN SACRAMENTO, 12.2 KM NORTH OF ELK GROVE, AND 11.3 KM SOUTHWEST OF RANCHO CORDOVA. TO REACH THE STATION FROM THE INTERSECTION OF INTERSTATE 5 AND US HIGHWAY 50 IN SACRAMENTO, PROCEED 8.1 KM EASTERLY ON US HIGHWAY 50 TO THE WATT AVENUE INTERCHANGE. PROCEED SOUTHERLY 5.63 KM ON WATT AVENUE TO AN ABANDONED RAILROAD CROSSING AND THE STATION ON THE LEFT. THE STATION IS A 3/4 IN ALUMINUM ALLOY ROD DRIVEN TO REFUSAL, WITH A CADT/CSRC ALUMINUM SURVEY DISK AFFIXED, SET IN A 6 IN DIAMETER PVC WELL CASING WITH AN ALUMINUM ACCESS COVER. THE STATION LIES 28.3 M FROM THE WATT AVENUE EDGE OF PAVEMENT, 23.5 M EAST OF AN OVERHEAD RAILROAD SIGNAL, 7.9 M NORTHEAST OF THE NORTH RAIL OF THE RAILROAD TRACKS, 4.9 M SOUTHWEST OF A CHAINLINK FENCE, 4.0 M SOUTHWEST OF A METAL GUARD POST, AND ABOUT LEVEL WITH THE ROAD. THIS STATION WAS OCCUPIED AS PART OF A CALTRANS NORTH REGION OFFICE OF SURVEYORS GPS HEIGHT MODERNIZATION PROJECT.
