The church of St. Mary, with the exception of the chancel, dates from 1898.

Samuel Whitbread whose memorial lies within the church is a famous name from this part of the UK. More information about him can be found here. He was a brewer who made considerable fortune with his renowned beer. Locally he has a school named after him and made donations to Cardington church itself.

We were lucky to find the church open and were able to take photographs inside as well as out. We hope you enjoy them.
