In 1956, a refrigerated ice rink was constructed in the park at the corner of Abbott Road and Cazenovia Street. Prior to that time, folks in the area were skating on the nearby lagoon, if it froze over! It was enclosed in the late 1970's. The rink is well used by many peewee leagues, but is open to the public as follows:
Thursday - 3 to 4:45pm
Friday - 3 to 4:45 and 7 to 8:45pm
Saturday - 2 to 3:45 and 7 to 8:45 pm
Sunday - 1 to 1:50 pm for speed skating
- 2 to 3:45 and 7 to 8:20 pm
