This statue is located at the main entrance to high school and captures the drive, determination and spirit of West Valley High School - Fairbanks champs!
West Valley first opened in 1975 as West Lathrop, because of overcrowding of Lathrop High School; the name was changed to West Valley High School in 1976. There is also a glass cage with three stuffed wolves, completed c. 1977, in West Valley's main building. It is known as the "wolf cage".
