Built between 1991 and 1994 for Bell South the intent was for the building to look like a telephone at the top. Then they added the pair of illuminated spires and it became known as the Batman Bldg. because it resembled his helmet.

When Bell South was absorbed into AT & T it became the AT & T building. It is the landmark of the Nashville skyline that everyone looks for. A good view of it is from directly across the river at LP Field (home of the Tennessee Titans).

This is the tallest building in Tennessee. The communications dish atop the main part of the building is covered by the tri-star design, representing the "Volunteer" symbol of the Tennessee state flag.
