Johnson County Square is the area between the Courthouse and the County office building. This square hosts two major celebrations - the Juneteenth celebration and the Old Settler's celebration held in September. There is a marker commerating the past Old Settler's Presidents, two time capsules, a Santa Fe Trail marker, a children's fountain, and the cornerstone of the old courthouse. There are several benches as well as a gazebo for county workers to enjoy some time outside of the buildings.
