Small skatepark in downtown Lemoore, CA. This skatepark located along side the railroad tracks shares the block with a basketball court, fun 'spitting' fountain and an old train station building that was brought in and refurbished which now houses some city and private offices.
I wish this park were built back in the 90's when my son and his friends had to 'skate the streets' ... only to be chased and scolded by the local police and one particularly grouchy old lady -- who happened to have the best block in town for jumping curbs and other 'street' tricks.
I also remember the huge public outcry when the park first opened and the local police attempted to strictly enforce the protective gear and age requirements. It appears the city has become considerably more realistic in their demands of the young people that frequent this facility -- and it's nice to see the skatepark well used and enjoyed by the community.
