This waterfall doesn't seem to be too well known by most. Some days it can be a little busy at the park, but most times you can have the whole area to yourself. The city of Columbus recently spent some time cleaning and fixing the park up. They added stairs, a boardwalk, and two overlooks to make the falls more accessable.
The amount of water at the falls varies greatly depending on the recent rainfall. Sometimes there it no water at all running, while other times the falls are copious.
The waterfall is approximately 30 feet tall, and is created by Hayden Run on its journey to the Scioto River. The confluence of the two can be found just a few hundred feet east of the water fall.
The gorge trail starts at the eastern end of the parking area. A set of stairs leads to the bottom and a short dirt path takes you to a boardwalk from which the falls can be viewed from the bottom. The path crosses Hayden Run a few times, and there are no footbridges down there. During times of flooding (like when I visited today) it can be impossible to safely access the boardwalk. At the western end of the parking area are 2 overlooks from which the waterfall can be viewed from the top.
