This mural is located on wall north of Canyon City park near City Hall. The mural depicts a Fourth of July Parade on Washington Street in the 1890’s. Sign in mural reads: “Canyon City’s Washington Street has been the scene of many celebrations. A festive parade from the 1890’s era is recreated in this 1996 mural by Larry Kangas. The lower panels feature early-day parades scenes painted by local schoolchildren.”
