Private Charles P. Cantrell was born on February 13, 1874 in Smithville, Tennessee. Private Cantrell was award Medal of Honor for his heroic actions at Santiago, Cuba on July 1, 1898, during the Spanish American War. Private Cantrell grave is located in Section 1 - Site 132

Private Cantrell's Meal of Honor Citations reads:

"Gallantly assisted in the rescue of the wounded from in front of the lines and under heavy fire from the enemy."
