" In 1926, on the site of their father’s blacksmith shop, Herman and Henry Eggert built the Green Shutter Hotel. It served the community as a hotel and meeting hall, and housed a variety of offices and stores. Architectural details of the original building (including wrought iron, tile and woodwork) have been carefully preserved. Murals in the Rue de Main restaurant add to its charm." (
