In Dick Kleberg Park, along US 77 south of Kingsville, this Skyhawk was assigned to the VMA-211 Marine Attack Squadron in El Toro, California.

This Douglas A-4C Skyhawk was manufactured in December, 1959 and assigned to the VMA-211 Marine Attack Squadron at the Marine Corps Station El Toro. As near as I can tell, it was used at that base for training until 1999, when the base was de-commissioned. The aircraft ended-up at the Kingsville Naval Air Station and was loaned to the City of Kingsville for display at Dick Kleberg Park.

To visit this site, enter the park and go around the baseball fields to the site. You may drive a car or truck right up to the aircraft. For your safety, please do not park on the busy highway 77 roadway and walk across the ditch and fence to the aircraft.
