Pablo Developers, LLC, dedicated the park property to the City of Jacksonville on April 20, 2001. This handicapped accessible park for children is named Deerwood Rotary Children`s Park. The Deerwood Rotary Club, with the financial assistance of the City of Jacksonville, contracted for the development of this colorful, unique park and organized volunteer services for portions of its development. A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on September 28, 2001.
