We were told you can find some real good soul food in Flint. We didn't find any. We did however come across this neon apple. Can't tell alot about it other than it belongs to Applegate Chevrolet and as you can see it's been around a while. It's a shame it has a couple tubes out.
UPDATE: When we went back by, they've got the tubes fixed, didn't get a chance to get new pictures. We did get some new information though. I contacted Applegate and was given this information via email by their internet manager:
"Applegate has been in business since 1928 and has been at this particular location since 1957. The sign was brought to the new location from the downtown Flint location...so it's quite old!"
From what we've seen recently they maintain it faithfully. Kudos to another company holding on to a little piece of local history.
