MOSH provides great fun and an educational experience for the whole family. It even comes with its own planetarium. Exhibits include the JEA Science Theatre, where kids can participate in live science experiments; the Florida Naturalist's Center, a mini-zoo devoted to Northeast Florida wildlife; KidSpace, a tree house-inspired play area and water table for pre-schoolers; and Currents of Time, which traces Jacksonville's history back 12,000 years with vignettes that recreate an Timucua Indian village, the Great Fire of 1901, a U.S. Navy hangar in World War II and a 1950s-era home.
