Marker Name: First Baptist Church of Goose Lake
Marker Text: Gongregation formed in spring of 1873 & meeting for a time in various area schools. Church built in 1886 and dedicated in the spring of 1887. Located about one mile south in California. Moved to New Pine Creek in 1897. Present property aquired by deed recorded May 28, 1900. Extension added and moved to present location in 1941. The congregation celebrated it’s 100th anniversary in 1973.
