Approached from many directions, but not usually the gaol of people's walk. Open access land owned by National Trust. The views to the north are of Skiddaw group of fells; to the west the Derwent fells and Keswick; to the east the North Pennines and Penrith, and immediately to the south the ridge of Helvellyn blocks the view.
