OK, I know what you're thinking - a Motel 6??? But I stay at Motel 6's all the time. They are cheap and they take dogs without charging extra. This one is a convenient stop if you're traveling east through Chicago into Michigan.

I have stayed at this Motel 6 several times and have always had a reasonable experience. It's great if you're driving down I-94. There are several good restaurants nearby and you're only 10 minutes from lake Michigan.
