This muffler man sports an Ace Hardware uniform and was out decorating with Christmas lights when I stopped by. According to the Roadside attractions web site, he began his career in 1967 working at Palmer Hardware and has worked at Scotts Lawn care and True Value Hardware as well.
He seems to have a pretty standard demeanor and stance. His right hand is palm up and his left hand is palm down just as if he were holding an ax.
