Station Eindhoven is the most important station of Eindhoven. The station lies on a button point of three routes: Venlo - Eindhoven, Breda -s Hertogenbosch and Eindhoven - Utrecht
In former days there was also a line of Eindhoven - Valkenburg to hasselt (Belgium).
Those have been however for a long time broken up, but in the city still memories have remained visible, such as bildings. and street names.
On approx. 200 meters of the station Philips stands stadion, the stadion of footbalclub PSV.
On the centre side of the station is a statue of Anton Philips, the father of Frits Philips.
Daily running 200,000 passanten by the tunnel under the station. This is both train - and busforensen, as well as movement between the binnenstad and the university. Per day approximately 47,000 travellers get in - or from (exclusive overstappers), with that station end courts is on six after busiest station of the Netherlands, and busiest outside the edge city.
