Quick Description: The movie "Groundhog Day" was set in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, but was filmed in Woodstock, Illinois. One of the most famous series of scenes is where Ned Ryerson (played by Stephen Tobolowsky) "accosts" Phil Conners (played by Bill Murray) here.

Long Description:
In "Groundhog Day", the main character finds himself reliving the same day (February 2nd - Groundhog Day) over and over. One of the most famous scenes is where Ned Ryerson, a man Phil Conners, the main character, went to school with recognizes him and introduces himself and attempts to sell him insurance. As Phil relives the day over each time, his encounter with Ned changes with hilarious results.

The town of Woodstock takes pride in the fact that the movie was filmed here. There are plaques around town marking spots from the movie and this corner is no different. There is a plaque labeling it "Ned's Corner"
