This bridge, built around 1934 or 1935, goes over Stone Avenue, one of the main streets into downtown Tucson from the historic neighborhoods to the north.

The Stone Avenue railroad bridge goes over Stone Avenue which connects the historic neighborhoods to the north with downtown to the south and further south with more historic neighborhoods. It's been recently refurbished due to an upgrade of Stone Avenue north of the bridge. As with the other underpasses into downtown it floods regularly during the summer monsoons. It has a measuring post so drivers can see how deep it is, though too many still try to make it through.
It was built in 1934 or 1935 and was put on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988. The Southern Pacific Railroad ran over it and the bridge carries very busy rail traffic even now. US Highways 80 and 89 ran through it until the early 1990s when those numbers became AZ highways instead.
