142, Banstead Heath - London Coal Tax Posts on Waymarking.com

There are two pins protruding from this post and only the word "VICT" is picked out in black, the rest of the inscription (probably "25 VICT") is not legible. The pins probably held a metal amending plate, but this has gone.

This is one of a series along this path, which was once a more important route across Banstead Heath.

The City of London list describes it as being "beside sheds" but there are no sheds there now.
