This is a high speed, low profile, cross-country vehicle for use with rapid deployment forces. After several years of testing the vehicle was provided with a 3rd crewman weapon station. In 1991 the FAV was deployed during Operation Desert Storm to infiltrate Iraqi defensive positions. This vehicle has evolved into the Navy Seals' Desert Patrol Vehicle (DPV).
Location restrictions: 12-4, Wednesday through Sunday
First must check in at main gate Visitor Center. Bring driver's license, vehicle registration, proof of insurance and your social security number to receive clearance to be on the base.
