This marker is located on the North side of U.S. 40 (Colfax Avenue) in the eighth block west of Simms Street at the crest of the hill in Panoramic Park in Lakewood. Dedicated: June 5, 1961. Vandalized, then replaced and rededicated August 8, 1985. There is a small picnic pavilion just to the west.
