Lake Tahoe- Twin Peaks - U.S. Benchmarks on Waymarking.com

The easiest way to get to Twin Peaks is from the Tahoe Rim Trail. There is an unmapped, but well used trail from the Rim Trail for the final ascent to the peak. There is a short (200' or so) scramble over boulders to get to the peak.

There are access points from Barker Pass trailhead, Ward Creek Rim Trail trailhead, or through Ward Creek State Park. All are established and easy to follow trails.

The benchmark is pretty obvious- It's sitting right at the top and in good condition. There is a geocache and summit register there that we placed there as well.

There are 360 degree panoramic views of Desolation Wilderness, Granite Chief Wilderness, and Lake Tahoe.
