The water wheel was moved in 2005-2006 about 200 feet south of it's original location. When the state rerouted S.R. 106 near milepost 7 to accomodate the expansion of nearby Alderbrook Lodge the waterwheel was orphaned and cut off from public view. With the move complete the waterwheel is again a tourist attraction in the area.
