RECOVERY NOTE BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1970 21.9 MI SW FROM DELTA. 21.9 MILES SOUTHWEST ALONG THE UNION PACIFIC RAILROAD FROM THE STATION AT DELTA, 1 POLE SOUTHWEST OF MILEPOLE 627.50, 71.3 FEET NORTHWEST OF THE NORTHWEST RAIL, 43 1/2 FEET SOUTHEAST OF THE CENTER LINE OF STATE HIGHWAY 257, 33.853 FEET SOUTH-SOUTHEAST OF R.M. 2, 32.79 FEET WEST-NORTHWEST OF R.M. 3, 17 FEET SOUTHEAST OF THE FIRST POLE SOUTHWEST OF THE 1/2-MILE POLE, 20.5 FEET SOUTHEAST OF A FENCE, 6.6 FEET SOUTH OF A WITNESS POST, ABOUT 1 FOOT LOWER THAN THE TRACK, AND SET IN THE TOP OF A CONCRETE POST PROJECTING 0.2 FOOT ABOVE THE GROUND.
