This triangulation station is located about 9 miles north of Valley Falls, Oregon along U.S. Hwy 395. The cap is set in a large talus boulder from Abert Rim about 60 feet east of highway centerline and 40 feet southeast of the Oregon Geology Marker at this location. The triangulation station was set by the U.S. Coast & Geodetic Survey in 1948 and was stamped MIOCENE.
