Located on the east side of Buffalo, in not the best of neighborhoods, is the small residential streets of Clark & Kent. When the area was first being settled, the people were largely of Polish and German descent. Those people gradually moved out, and now the area is largely African-American. The beautiful Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Church is a stone's throw from the intersection.
Of course, Clark Kent is the alter ego of Superman, created by Joe Shuster and Jerry Siegel for DC Comics. Clark Kent worked as a newspaper reporter at the Daily Planet, and when it came time for Superman to make an appearance, Kent would hop into a phone booth and change into his caped outfit.
