The disk is a NYSDEC disk, engraved as follows: "NYSDEC Site No. 02-004 CM-003". The disk was placed by the NYS DEC on the landfill that is now closed but maintained by the Village of Wellsville. (Note-The property is located just off of Snyder Road, and you must have permission or be with authorized personnel from the Village of Wellsville to be on the property.) The disk is set in concrete and located just above grade, and is next to a wooden marker post.
