This river gauge monitors the water level of the Owasco River as it meanders through the city of Auburn. It is solar powered and nicely tucked away in the overgrowth, however, the solar panel rises above the weeds and saplings to keep the gauge functioning.

LOCATION.--LOCATION.--Lat 42°56'07", long 76°35'25", Cayuga County, Hydrologic Unit 04140201, on left bank in city of Auburn combined sewer overflow building, approximately 200 ft upstream from Genesee Street, and 2.5 mi downstream from State Dam at outlet of Owasco Lake.
